What our customers say
Read reviews from 40+ Palm Coast and Flagler County homeowners who trust Christian for water heaters, repairs, filtration and repipes.
Christian arrived in a timely manner and evaluated the problem that I had. He offered his solution, that I agreed with, and he fixed it on the spot. You can’t ask for more than that!
Christian has done a few plumbing jobs for me. The last job was replacing the garbage disposal. His crew came out today to fix a loud clanking noise. There was a screw in a “pocket” that I could not feel when I checked for something stuck. No charge! Christian’s other plumbing jobs were done quickly and professionally.
We contacted Christian about a broken line from our water heater. He sent Paul out right away to assess the situation. Paul arrived the next morning to install the new water heater. He was awesome; explained everything he was doing, worked efficiently, cleaned up the entire area and made sure that the job was done right.
Chris and his helper were a pleasure to deal with. Prompt and did outstanding work. His prices were reasonable. He sent an itemized invoice describing the work and price before they came out. There were no surprises. I had him repair a shower faucet, outside faucets and toilet. He also installed a garbage disposal.
Christian at Florida Plumbing & Inspection is fantastic! He is a professional that knows what he is doing. He has done several projects for us. He is always on time, knowledgeable, professional, neat, dependable and very pleasant. He installed a water filtration system at two of our homes, as well as other plumbing work.
Contacted Christian regarding a water heater upgrade/repair required by an insurance company. He responded immediately and the work was performed the very next day, complete with photos of the completed work. Awesome service. Highly recommend Florida Plumbing & Inspection for all your plumbing needs.
What a relief it is to find honest and capable professionals for your home. Alex and Christian installed a new whole house water system, and also installed release valves in our tankless water heater (which our builder plumber had neglected to do).
Christian just installed a new Rheem heat pump water heater. He is a real gentleman and master plumber. Third time I have hired him. He has done a excellent job. I highly recommend him.

How much does a plumber cost in Palm Coast?
For most household repairs in Palm Coast you should expect $150–$450 including parts, and I quote the exact number by text before I come out. Every visit starts with a $96 service call, and that $96 is applied to the repair. Typical jobs: a toilet fill valve and supply line $150–$200, a customer-supplied kitchen faucet installed $175–$275, a garbage disposal replaced $275–$450 with the unit, an outdoor hose bib replaced $150–$250, and a main shut-off valve replaced $250–$400.
I’m Christian Laymon, a master plumber (FL Lic. RF11067918) who does the work himself with a small crew — Paul, Greg and Cooper. Most repairs are done the same or next day. Before I replace anything, I’ll tell you whether it can be fixed for less.

Repairs I handle every week
Small jobs are most of what I do. I show up myself, quote before I come, fix what’s broken and clean up. Landlords and property managers: I’ll text photos and the invoice straight to you.
Toilets
Fill valves, flappers, wax rings, cracked flanges, and new installs — including comfort-height and ADA toilets. Two ADA toilets and a faucet in one afternoon is a normal day.
Faucets and fixtures
Kitchen, bath, outdoor shower and Roman tub faucets. I install Kohler, Moen and Delta, or the one you already bought. Farmhouse and undermount sinks included.
Garbage disposals and dishwashers
New disposals, dishwasher hookups, air gaps and the drain rebuild that usually comes with them. If yours just needs un-jamming, I’ll do that instead.
Leaks and leak repair
Under-sink, supply lines, water heater connections, attic pipes and underground mains. I find it, fix it, and tell you if it’s a symptom of something bigger.
Hose bibs, washer boxes and shut-off valves
The repair insurance inspectors ask for most: old gate valves and corroded spigots swapped for quarter-turn ball valves. New washing-machine boxes with proper shut-offs.
Water pressure problems
Pressure-reducing valves, expansion tanks and the gauge test that tells us which one you need. High pressure is why fixtures fail early in Palm Coast.

Why these repairs come up so often in Flagler County
Two things wear out plumbing here faster than anywhere I've worked: salt air and 1980s hardware. On the barrier island, brass hose bibs and outdoor shower valves corrode from the outside in — the green spigot in the photo is typical. Inland, the original ITT-era homes still have gate valves at the main and under every sink; they seize, and when they finally turn, they don't close.
- Insurance and four-point inspections now ask for working shut-offs and modern supply lines. I do the whole list in one visit and send photos.
- Vacation rentals and landlords in Flagler Beach and the Hammock: I text photos before and after and invoice by email, so you never have to be on site.
- Hard water chews through faucet cartridges and fill valves. A whole-house filter fixes the cause; see the filtration page.

Repair questions
Yes, $96. It covers the visit and the diagnosis, and it's applied to the repair if you go ahead, so you never pay it on top of the work.
Often, yes — text me before noon and I'll tell you honestly. Active leaks and no-water calls go to the front of the line.
Yes. Send me the model number before you buy and I'll tell you if it fits and what else it needs. Labor is quoted the same either way.
Yes, this is one of my most common calls. I replace old gate valves with quarter-turn ball valves, swap corroded hose bibs and braided lines, and send you dated photos for the underwriter.
My posted hours are Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, but I answer the phone. For an active leak or no water I'll come out on a Saturday or a Sunday evening — several reviews on this page are from exactly those calls.
Yes, same pricing as Palm Coast. Both are within fifteen minutes of my shop.
Nine times out of ten it's a worn flapper or a fill valve that won't shut off — both are cheap parts and a 30-minute fix. A running toilet can waste 200 gallons a day, so the water bill pays for the repair fast. If the toilet is 25-plus years old and the tank bolts or flush valve are shot, I'll tell you whether a new toilet makes more sense.
Turn everything off and watch the meter by the street: if the little triangle or dial is still moving, water is going somewhere. Warm spots on a slab floor, a water bill that jumped, or a musty smell in a closet are the other giveaways. I locate it before I open anything, so you're not paying for exploratory holes in the wall.
If it hums but won't spin, it's usually jammed — a hex wrench in the bottom frees it and costs you nothing but a visit. If it's leaking from the body or the reset button keeps tripping, replace it. A new ½ or ¾ HP unit installed is a one-hour job and comes with a real warranty.
Yes — dripping hose bibs, spigots that spin in the wall, and frost-free bibs that won't shut off are all same-visit repairs. On the barrier island I install brass bibs with a vacuum breaker, because the salt air eats the cheap ones in a couple of years.
